We started our morning as normal with breakfast at the motel and then we were off for some shopping. Our taxi rides to and from the island were successful, Claire loved them (thank you Lord) and then she sent straight to her stroller. We should have known that something was up when she did not like us taking her picture at the White Swan. She was so opposed, that we did not even try the couches. With in 30 minutes walking out on the streets, she went into the worst fit ever. She began to scratch and slap, not only us but herself. There were Chinese people trying to talk to her through her fits and nothing was helping. After more than 30 minutes of screaming, kicking, scratching and slapping, we finilly got her to calm down. It was horrible. She was so tired, that after she would sit in the stroller again, she fell right to sleep.
We finished some of my shopping for a friend and started a few things that I wanted to get. Claire did wake up and guess who started carrying her? Not mama, it was baba (Chinese for daddy)!!!!! I had to take a picture, I was so pleased. We took her to Lucy's and had lunch. She ate two bowls of congiee. She can eat, I can't believe that she is only 25 pounds! We were able to get cheeseburgers. We asked for mustard for James ... it came in a "French's" looking bottle ... not French's. It was chineese hot mustard all over his burger! At first he was sweating it a bit, after a while of course, he like it.
We are just back at the hotel now looking over paperwork and taking some photos for our final paperwork. A woman who is here without her husband, Christen is on the same floor as us. She has been very sweet and is letting us wash our laundry in her room. Claire and I went to visit today and she let Christen hold her also. It is so good to see her more comfortable around other people.
