Well, the sales pitch at these two places works like a charm!!! You leave both wanting the whole store. The pearls were very pretty and we received a great education about fresh water pearls. The woman actually cut an oyster open in front of us. The oyster was eight years ols and had more than 20 pearls inside. She gave one to each of the children in our group.
Just a side note here. The Lord has blessed this trip so. A few families brough there children with them, plus we have three families here who came early and got their adopted children. This day of touring left me MORE than exahsted. The kids in our group are unbelievable. Even the three who are new to their families, they just go with the flow and are SO happy. One family still has no luggage. Please pray for them. They have two teenage daughters with them. They tried going to the "WalMart" last night to get some stuff, but there is very slim picking there for clothing etc.
The silk factory was the most interesting. It is amazing how they get the threads of silk off of the small silk worms. The large silk worms they just stretch the silk out. The small ones they unravel in a machine. You buy the comforters in order of thickness and not size. Then they squish down the comforter to practically nothing to send it with you.
