MaoNan

Maoming has beautiful country side. There are water buffalo every where! We made it to the orphanage in record time. Neither director or many nannies were there. The doctor met us. Claire liked her a lot. They let us video and take photos of the playroom only. Claire did great! Thank you all for your prayers. She played with the kids and was ready to go when we left. She loves the babies. They took us in that room after the special needs room. They said that it was her favorite room. You could tell. She instantly went to work mothering the little ones. She caused quite an uproar. They all started crying. The conditions are good for an institution. If you want specifics, email me and I will give them to you.

I kept it together for Claire's sake at both the orphanage and her finding spot. I feel like crying myslef to sleep though The thought of that precious baby being left where they showed us, brole my heart. Across the very busy street were rows and rows of apartment buildings. If did make me wonder which one her mother could have lived in.

James was saying a few days ago, that there was no way we were coming back again. As we drove away from Maoming, I asked him if he still felt the same. He said that he wished we had rode there in a bus, so we could have grabbed them all and brought them along. It is hard to see and not want to do something to help. Obviously they cannot all live with us, but there is more that we can do to raise the awareness of orphans around the world.

Claire did have a bit of a crying episode on the way home. She was woke up from a nap by a bus horn. She cried (screamed) for five - ten minutes. Then she fell back asleep. Thank you all for your prayers. I think this was good practice for the airplane. Your prayers were felt ... please do the same for the airplane on Saturday!!!!
