Folk Art Museum and Tea House

We had a nice day at the Folk Art Museum. It is very nice. Claire even enjoyed it. She was meeting lots of children there and was very interested in visiting with them. There were men there crawling up on the roofs with bamboo ladders to clean off the weeds that were growing in the grooves.

After there, we went to the tea house. I missed most of the tea house because we were dealing with our bank. We decided to put our tea on our credit card because we had not exchanged money that morning. It was declined, so Jenny and James worked together over our "panda phone" to get numbers and information. It ended up that we had paid $2 too little on our last bill, so our card had been turned off!!!! Of course it is the weekend and there was nothing that could be done. Very frustrating, but I am reminded continuously that our stepes are ordered of the Lord.

We brought Claire back to the appartment for a nap and it took us two hours to get her to sleep. Normally she just lays right down in our bed and naps there, today she crawled around every inch of the bed. She stood on her head, rolled up in the covers and just had a ball. I told James that that bed must seem like a palace compared to the "travel size" cribs in the orphanage. We also found out that it will cost us over $450 US dollars to visit Maonan. It is a very hard call. Visiting the orphanage would be nice, even more important to us would be seeing Claire's finding spot. It is a lot of money and over five hours of driving to get there. We are continuing to pray.

Claire also dicovered today, the joy of riding on daddy's shoulders. She loved it. She really loved the fact that the ceilings here are low and she could grab them as he walked and bring him to a quick stop! She also found a bunch of her hair bows and had to try them all on. They of course left her head very quickly when she found her comb and had to try it out also!

Thank you for your prayers. Claire fits today, have been standard two year old tantrums, that we have simply not tollerated. She has worked through being told no, very well today. She did wake up in the middle of her nap, screaming and thrashing her head from side to side. As soon as we woke her up and held her for a minute, she went right back to sleep. Praise the Lord! He has done a mighty work in her.
